Stage Three

Using the information gathered during stages 1 and 2 of the project, we have been able to draft a new handbook for employers.

The aim of this handbook is to provide employers across Yorkshire and the Humber with a short, concise and easy-to-use resource that contains lots of practical information on how they can develop and work with effective Equality and Diversity policies.

Ensuring that it does not duplicate other materials that are already available for employers, the handbook will provide SMEs with information they have requested during the course of the project.

This includes:

  • synopses of relevant legislation
  • definitions of key terms
  • ideas for good practice
  • links to other useful resources

As part of the development of this handbook, we have uploaded an initial draft onto the Consultation Area. We would like you to review the content of this draft and send us any comments and ideas that you have using the Have Your Say form provided.

In addition to the employers' handbook, we are also producing:

  • a final report of the findings
  • separate case study documents for each of the three sub-regions
