Pye Tait’s LMI report on the green space sector has been published by the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE). This is a groundbreaking piece of research which, for the first time, defines the publicly-accessible green space sector and its skills needs. It is based on analysis of over ninety qualitative telephone interviews, a quantitative telephone survey of 1,075 green space employers across the public, private and third sectors, and comparisons of the survey with national datasets.
Our full report (internal to CABE) also includes a literature review along with our conclusions and recommendations. As part of the research, Pye Tait established a set of baseline indicators to enable green space skills to be measured over time.
I am happy with the final version, there is nothing that anyone has challenged or questioned from the report and I am more than happy with the fantastic case studies, I will be hassling the team to get those on the website ASAP!
