• Design, implement and successfully complete research processes – end to end project delivery.

• Support development and execution of the research strategy.

What makes a great Research Manager?


Agency-side experience – that is, solid commercial experience in pricing, designing, and delivering research and consultancy projects to a range of clients to tight deadlines and budgets.
Ability to organise, self-manage, and lead others.
Enthusiasm for research and the delivery of great client outputs.
Excellent written skills.


Membership of the MRS.
Specialism in economics and labour markets.
Statistical skills – e.g. experience of using SPSS/SNAP/R and undertaking multivariate statistical analysis including regression and experimental design


A mix of relevant experience, intelligence, enthusiasm, knowledge, persuasiveness, energy, resilience, and self-motivation. These roles are ideally permanent and full time but we would be willing to consider flexible arrangements where there are mutual benefits.

Location: Successful applicants are based at their homes and can therefore be based almost anywhere in the UK. However, they must have easy access to key centres of government and business. Travel, post Covid-19, is an essential part of the job and this sometimes also entails overnight stays.
