An extremely experienced researcher undertaking all types of studies from national qualifications developments to practical science in schools and colleges. Manages the work of the company on a day to day basis. Current focus is on keeping the skills and knowledge of older workers in key sectors, and developing labour market data for the engineering construction sector.
BA, MPhil (Cantab), Chartered MCIPD, MMRS
Specialises in high-tech sectors including aerospace, advanced manufacturing and advanced materials development. Is currently focused on advanced digital applications and other technological drivers of economic and business change including AI, VR and robotics. He is currently overseeing the company’s advance into social media research and coordinating Pye Tait Consulting’s overseas activities.
Clare has fifteen years’ high level research experience. She specialises in qualifications and standards. Most recently involved in studies on data science in Scotland and the electrotechnical sector, standards for a medical regulator, and an approved contractor scheme for a national regulating body.

A highly qualified project manager (Agile PM, Prince 2) with over twelve years’ experience in military intelligence. He has worked at the Cabinet Office and was Assistant Defence Attaché at the British Embassy in Belgrade. His wide experience backs up his role in planning, implementing and risk-assessing complex projects for our clients.

Rebecca has twenty-five years’ market research experience including work for BMRB, kae marketing, ASDA/Walmart, and Pye Tait Consulting working across the qual-quant spectrum. She is an extremely accomplished research manager with both client and consultant-side experience. She also happens to speak Mandarin, French, Spanish, German and Italian.
Extremely experienced qual/quant researcher with over ten years at Pye Tait Consulting. He specialises in survey design, implementation, and analysis and has carried out significant work for the Scottish Government. Now working part-time from his base in Ukraine.
A native German-speaker who has studied in Australia and at St Andrews University. He has twelve years’ research experience which has involved spells at the European Commission in Brussels, and three years studying EU funding policies. Most recently he has been European Affairs Manager for the German Electronic Manufacturers Association, based in Brussels. He is an accomplished presenter and writer (his most recent piece was “Brexit: State of Play” for the influential German magazine Foreign Trade).
An experienced all-rounder with interests and capability across the research board. Comfortable with all types of research, Terry is also the extremely capable manager of our in-house survey team and is adept at managing this complex process to meet clients’ targets.

A chemist (but we don’t hold that against him), Tom spent a number of years evaluating high level research papers for the Royal Society of Chemistry. He’s now helping to evaluate other types of activity for a range of clients. Naturally his main interests are in science and technology and he is currently working on two of Pye Tait Consulting’s ongoing studies in those arenas.

With almost ten years’ experience as a teacher and examiner in addition to a previous background in research Joanne has expertise and interests right across the educational spectrum. She has a particular interest in linguistics including syntax theory and the application of linguistic analysis to commercial and political discourse.
Niki is a native Thai-speaker with an excellent research background ranging from five years with the (then) BIS Local Better Regulation office in Birmingham to her four years’ work for the Europe-Japan Centre. She specialises in survey syntax design, statistical and data analysis, and satisfaction and competitor analysis. She is currently using both SPSS and SNAP to analyse the results from ongoing studies.
Australia-based, Annika was inducted into the Pye Tait Consulting family with six months’ demanding work in the UK office before specialising in research, qualitative analysis and overseas research from her Melbourne base. Annika is engaged in both ongoing project work and developmental work for Pye Tait Consulting.
Gilli is an experienced researcher who has worked on a wide range of our projects. Her main professional interests are in the fields of statistical analysis and interpretation. At present, however, her interests lie in other areas as she is on maternity leave.
Susan’s role is a wide one – spanning general assistance to the research team and senior-level telephone interviewing. Her bright personality and significant powers of persuasion help us to engage with business people, academics, teachers, and other stakeholders to create great focus groups and workshops.
A highly skilled project manager, Richard works on complex projects and specializes in the multi-layered feedback loops that give everyone else headaches. His most recent work was helping to interpret and disseminate the numerous outputs from a lengthy study for the Security Industry Association.
A very competent and experienced promotion and publicity specialist, Mary works on projects where there is a pressing need to communicate quickly and effectively with large numbers of people or with small but difficult-to-reach groups. She is also very active in supporting general research work and social media outputs.
After over twenty years with the company there is nothing about managing our offices, equipment and staff facilities that Eileen does not have well under control. She has also steered the company’s quality system through the many changes in the ISO9000 world and manages our twice-yearly inspections and the three-yearly re-certification process.
Nicola manages the hectic and deadline-driven world of the company’s business development activities in terms of official tendering and framework processes. She is also the company guru on broadband communications and the management of our servers.
Rob has decades of experience in the space industry having worked with the UK Space Agency, the European Space Agency and many universities and top-rank aerospace companies. He worked with us to form a policy for Cornwall on their excellent space developments and has also contributed to a range of other space and aerospace-related studies.
Ryan has been supporting our increasingly complex web and IT systems for over ten years. His expertise and experience has enabled us to build systems which have moved with the demands of the modern world in terms of security and capability.
