The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is partnering with Pye Tait Consulting to carry out a survey of organisations responsible for the design, procurement and management of connected places (also known as smart cities) technology, including how they use the resulting data to improve local services.
For DCMS to deliver tailored and effective support, it needs to build an accurate and up-to-date picture of current approaches to connected places deployment in the UK and how these projects are governed, with a particular focus on cyber security and risk management.
DCMS wants to understand how organisations that design, procure, manage and deploy connected places technologies interact with current guidance and what further support is needed to ensure the safe and secure deployment of connected places.
The survey is now closed and we are analysing your responses. Thank you to everyone who took part.
Pye Tait Consulting is scheduled to submit its final report to DCMS in September 2022.
